Hi all!

I'm a guitar player for some 40 years, living in Austin, TX, and I just got my first PRS. Its a second-hand DGT SE tobacco burst w/birds. So, far I'm really impressed with the tone and playability. I've been searching for something to take the place of my Gibson Les Paul that I sold almost 15 years ago because I could no longer take the weight. I think I might have found my solution at an incredible price!

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say howdy!

We are an addicted collection of six stringers...
Stop right there, mister Moon Doggy, sir! Who's "We?"

I'm not addicted. Far from it.

Excuse me for a moment.

"Yes, I'll have a dry Monkey 47 martini. Extra bitters. Thank you."

I have one every Friday, provided it isn't raining.

As I was saying, buying PRS' is not an addiction. For example, I buy guitars out of the very goodness of my heart:

a) To to seek out new musical life and new civilizations; and,

b) To boldly play what no man has played before.

Thus do I spread merriment and joy to my fellow-citizens, and as is often said by those in the know, to the entire universe.

Oh stop! No, really. No applause, please! Well OK, then. You're all entirely welcome! Cheers!

[crowd cheering dies down]

In addition, I am pleased to help stimulate the economy, thereby making life better for the 'little people' who must toil for their bread.

[cue more cheering]

So you see, you've got this all wrong.

You beat me to it! Before I even read your post, I had started typing the same as a reply (except I used the words "typed like a true addict")!! Then before I posted, I thought I better read and make sure I was not stepping on others comments (I hate it when people do that)!!!

My apologies to @ryand1959 , we are clearly not all addicts, some of us are delusionists!!
