New to Semi hollow electric guitars

I was wondering if I should be concern about the center block of semi hollow guitars since these blocks are solid woods and laminated. Do they swell and shrink a lot like the top and sides of the semi hollows when humidity changes? I ask because I’m thinking of getting one someday but I’m going to keep it on a guitar stand instead of a case.

If you can keep your guitar room between 40 and 50% relative humidity, you should be ok with it out on a stand. Otherwise i would recommend keeping it cased with some humidity control device of your choice.

PRS core hollowbodies are carved, not laminated.
I’ve not had any issues in 20 years.
I keep them in a case when not being played.
If you really need to keep it on a stand, make sure the room is humidified in the winter.

The SE's are laminated hollowbodies. I've not know that to be a problem with a laminated guitar. My Guild X170 is now about 30 years old. Keep in mind PRS uses wood that has been aged properly. It's one of the things that separated them from the competition.
