Hello everyone. A few months back I unexpectedly bought a 594. Both my Friedman and Bogner went down n due to a bad speaker cable. I took the amps to N’Stuff music in Pittsburgh. As soon as I walked in I got that feeling like someone was staring at me. So I look and there was a gorgeous 594 in burnt maple leaf. I asked if I could demo it. On the way to the amp room I told the salesman I hoped this guitar sucks because I really wasn’t expecting to buy any gear that day let alone a PRS. Well I plugged into a Suhr PT100 and that was it. Called the wife so she could cool off before I got home. Anyways I can’t put this guitar down. Been a super strat type player for years so I’m a little surprised at how well I’m bonding with this guitar. I do think I might switch out the pickups for hotter ones. But it is definitely a keeper!

Welcome aboard! Love the 594 - post pictures as soon as you can.
I put a hotter bridge pickup in my 594 (Duncan JB) so I understand. I left the 58/15lt in the neck though, and the two work surprisingly well together.

How do I know if my 594 is one of the new relaunched 594 like Tim Pierce and Howard Leese talked about in their recent video

Congrats! I saw that one - there's a reason I didn't ask to try it!!!

I threw a \m/ in the bridge of my 594 SC. Actually works really well with the neck 58/15LT.

The 2020s have Kluson- style tuners instead of the modified Phase III - i.e your tuners should be non-licking with plastic tulip buttons.

Nope mine has the locking tuners. Are the 2020 shipping with different pickups?’
Same pickups, but with the new TCI process, plus nitro finish.

I like 59/09 bridge pickup for a hotter PRS choice in the 594. Still splits well too.

Before you swap out the pickups you might consider putting a boost pedal in front of the amp and see if that gets you where you want to be.
