From the beginning, I didn't think this was a very quality switch. And now at times besides the noise it makes from switching pickups, it can also in the neck position almost short out, so no sound passes through. So time for a new one. Is there a Switchcraft one that is made particularly for the SE series that I should get? I might change out the pots while I'm at it.

Otherwise, I love this guitar.

Same thing with my SE santana and now my SE Zach Myers. It randomly shorts, specially on the neck position. I even changed the switch on the santana and the problem remained... I guess I had bad luck and the replacement was also bad

StewMac may have what you're looking for. The only trouble might be finding something that will match the black hardware on your CL.

Have you checked the wiring? Something could just be shorting to ground. 3 way switches are about the most stupidly simple devices around. You're literally just bending some flexible metal back and forth.

Have not, but that's a good point. I've had other similarly cheaper switches like this go bad though, literally the metal pieces weren't as flexible as they should've been. Overall though the switch just doesn't feel quality. Not the best place to save a few bucks imo. That and the cheaper SE nuts, I'd gladly pay $25-50 for high quality parts here. Though the nut on this one seems ok for the most part.
