New Strings Day (an humorous story)

I've been hooked on the PRS brand of strings since they were doing a promo on them a few years ago. So my new shipment arrives the other day and my wife says "did you get me another PRS mug? because we already have many of them".

I told her that it was not a mug, but PRS strings because i find the tone a tad brighter than my previous favorite brand. She starts making a cork-sniffer gestures. i looked at her incredulously and started explaining tone, then we both burst out laughing

I'm fortunate enough to be able to work from home most of the time and try to make sure that the majority of my orders arrive during the day to avoid just such an occurrence. She lets me indulge in my "hobby" so I let her have at hers. I have to admit, I don't get all of the crafting crap that she orders, and piles up around the house though. Half of it goes untouched, and that frosts my rear, but I know if I say something the boot will fall with respect to my stuff. Ahhh, marriage....give and take for the win!!!! Besides, you only go around once, and if it isn't hurting anyone, you might as well enjoy it.
