I just received a new se mccarty 594 and it has a few items that are not in the specs that were advertised, instead of umbrella type control knobs it has speed knobs , and instead of flat pickup rings it has slanted , both upgrades in my opinion

Sounds like a 2024 or older NOS SE594. That's how mine came - speed knobs and angled rings. Mine is a 2023 model.

The se594 comes with speed knobs and the US 594s come with lampshades. PRS just released the first se model, seCu24SH, to come with lampshades.

I’ve got a 2023 SE 594. It has both speedknobs and slanted rings standard.
Bought new from Sweetwater.

I recently put mine back to stock.
I had lampshades, ivory universal rings and locking vintage tuners. I’m liking the stock setup more to my liking these days.
