I posted about the raw nickel silver covers I put on this guitar but I didn't post a NGD.

I have wanted an SE Custom 24 for a long time and finally I got this one. I really like it and the pickups are satisfying. It is different, of course, from some of my other guitars, but it is beautiful and plays really nice.

My Epi LP Plus top with a chrome covered Dimarzio SuperDistortion bridge pickup has a different sound, as you would expect. It pushes my Marshall combo tube amp into beautiful distortion when barely turned up.

I really like the vintage yellow flame.

I also have other SE's; a Singlecut Tremolo vintage sunburst, natural mahogany Standard, and a Santana Yellow Santana.

I put the covers on the Singlecut and the Custom 24. The SE Standard has a Seymour Duncan JB bridge pickup; I may put the stock bridge pickup that came along with it back in. A Dimarzio SuperDistortion bridge pickup would probably sound very good in one of these guitars.

My SE Standard.

Very Nice SE's

enjoy, those will keep you warm in that windy city :top:

Thanks. I haven't seen another SE Standard.

I don't live in Chicago, it is a picture I took two Summers ago from the park at the end of the Lake with a telephoto lens on my Nikon DSLR. I thought some of the people from Chicago here might like it. I'm from rural North Central Pennsylvania. I grew up though, at the North end of the Lake, in Manistique, Michigan and could see the Lake from my bedroom window and hear the lonely fog horn moan in the quiet of the night. A world away.

It's mighty cold here right now, I must say.
