New PRS Studio arrived today has odd lines in finish is this normal?

Finish checking is when your clear coat starts to get tiny crack lines that usually spread over time.

Yeah I'm not sure it's that as the clear coat from what I can tell looks fine this is underneath

I had a Wood Library that had spots where the mineral deposits wouldn't absorb the stain. Looked very much
like yours looks. I thought they were beautiful and unique lines!

Unfortunately my Orange tiger PRS Studio was missing the COA and I just didn't feel good about paying full price for a guitar that was missing what should have come with it Soni exchanged it for one that hadn't had the box opened :

When I was looking at the finish I see lots of what look like scratches under the paint that I didn't notice on my other one. Almost looks like they missed painting some parts of it. The guy at the store says this is just wood grain coming through but I definitely didn't have this on the other one. Is this normal?

It's a brand new guitar out of the box. I tilted the guitar to check the clear coat and it's not the clear coat. Just looks more like the paint not soaking in in certain spots

That would be the mineral streaks, not accepting the stain.

We're led by mass production into thinking uniformity is necessary. Individuality is necessary. It is the antithesis of uniformity. There is beauty in uniqueness, and you have it. I'd rock that 8 days a week. And even better, it's blue.
