"Tone Furnace" pickups ?! Come on PRS, don't go all Fender on us with silly names.

Wow, I remember when I got my youngest son his 2012 SE Semi-hollow for his birthday, I had a week to mess around with it before I gave it to him.
It was nice, but this is even nicer with the non flat top and curves.

I like the color, and it would look even more killer if it had all black pickups, black rings, and a black toggle.
I would be temped to buy one for me, and give him my Zach Myers.

Whoaaa, just noticed the solid body one does have all black pups.
NICE!

I do like the orange color the best though with the semi-hollow one.
Would be so tempted to order one right now if it had all black pups.

I know you can change them, and I had that done to my 2012 SE Tremonti Custom, but that was around $400 if I remember for the Seymour Duncan Dimebag pups, PRS pots and wiring, and a PRS jack input.
Can buy an S2 by the time you get done modding one of these.

Bangin'! Here's hoping they do a CU24 with trem version... No, wait they better not.

Don't they already have a bunch of these this way?

I like both of these SE 22 models, the hotter pickups on the solidbody interest me, but it would be nice to have one semi hollow too. Dammit, these are tempting me...

I actually did pickup a 2012 SE semi-hollow CU22 on Ebay and, as a matter of fact, did change the rings and toggle tip to black. It already had all black pickups, which was what attracted it to me in the first place. I also found an all black bridge pretty cheap and it even intonated perfectly. But after all that, I just didn't care for the flat top so I let it go. Here what it looked like:

Having said that, I agree that the one you have above is more to my taste. I did get a 30th Anny CU24 from Sweetwater and asked them to put in 59/09's, and I love that one. Did the pup rings, toggle tip, and the trem bar tip in black as well. So I like your idea on this. Maybe I'll do something similar on a semi when I get a chance. You know they say you can't go wrong with basic black. ;)

Yeah, you should do it!

So glad they're doing the toggle on these. Defiitly would like to try out the new semi-hollow. I wonder if there would be any exclusive colors like Brian's and Sweetwater have had.

I'm sure in time there'll be some cool special runs, there usually are, and I'll bet the Japanese ones will be INSANE!!!!

While I'm normally not to much of a burst fan, they look especially good on these maple-topped SE's. They hide the abrupt veneer line, and make them look so damn classy.

*Do these look like they have the new smaller SE logo? Does that mean they're made in the newer Indo-SE factory like the Standards?

I've got a pair of 59/09's waiting to be dropped in to that cu22 lol

You mean an SE Semi-Hollow CU24 with a stop tail :P

Yeah I think this is what he means, or at least the stop tail version of the CU24, as all of the SE models have a trem otherwise I think. One of the reasons I like my SE Clint Lowery so much. Although it's 25.5 scale, but I don't find that makes much of a difference to me.
