New PRS Guitar - Oddities

Hello, I have been a longtime lurker, and I finally had a reason to post, so I finally signed up. I recently picked up a 2007 SCT Top 10 with a rosewood neck, but I have found a few odd things with it. When I run the Modcat, it pretty much gives me my guitar except it says my hardware should be nickel, but my guitar has Gold. Only one of the two pickups has a sticker on the back that says that it is a #6 pickup, however they both say PRS USA on the back. The odd thing is that I thought the #6 pickups did not have covers, and my guitar has gold covers. Is it possible PRS changed the hardware from nickel to gold before it left the factory? And how did a #6 pickup get a cover? Everything else looks legit! I have a call into PRS, but the person who can help is currently out. I would post pics if I could figure out how to do it from my phone. Does anyone here have an idea of what I have?

It might be an artist pack guitar? That might at least explain the gold and the pup covers.

I think everything can be explained other than the #6 pickups that have a cover? Do people ever put them on? I am always hearing about people wanting to take them off?

If you call PRS with your serial number, they'll be happy to tell you what their records show... perhaps it's been modded...

There are several guys around here that have put covers on their pups.

As for photos, you have to put them at an image hosting site (Flickr, Photobucket, etc.) From there you can use the Image button in the toolbar, or you can Copy/Paste from your image hosting site.
