New PRS being released or not

Hey all,

Does anyone know if the Herman Li Sig model is happening or not? Been a few years since he made the switch over and still nothing. It would be pretty neat to have a new kind of guitar from PRS… and the one he currently plays does look pretty wild.

If it’s being released, anyone have a rough idea when?

Thanks!

I get it, but with Mark Tremonti, and Dustin Waring aboard - Herman Linus a proper shredder (love or hate his style). Seems to be missing out on a fairly large market… I own several very expensive guitars, but not a single PRS as I prefer much flatter And D shape necks.

Regardless, Paul makes incredible stuff… Hope to see this thing come to life.

Dustin is no more, AFAIK. But I agree. Gen Z seems to love the 90s stuff. I too hope PRS will come back to the dark side

Herman was recently at PRS. Draw your own conclusions.

Wow! This thing may have legs after all! Was that just this month? I see May 7th on the timestamp. Genuinely excited… and I haven’t really been excited about new guitar releases in a long time

lol! He did mention in an article that I read that when this happened (years ago) he was told that the prototype would break if he did this… and it did. I’m guessing that’s why it has taken so long for it to come out to the public. New territory for the Stevensville team.

Yeah, and I also either recently read, or saw a video where Herman stated that Paul fixed this guitar. Wish I could remember where I saw/heard it.

For sure, I think I read that exact article as well. No one in you know where would Paul release something faulty or inferior quality and durability… even though I know a few of my guitars wouldn’t hold up to a whammy bar lift and flying knee right to the heel!
