The snakes are locality specific red tail boas (from Suriname).
Mice, rats, Guinea pigs, rabbits etc are snake food. But cats and dogs have bitten me more over the years than snakes (and I've owned more snakes).You feed cats and dogs to the snakes?
Heck, I'd bite ya too if you tried to feed me to one of 'em.
