So my P22 from the MF sale arrived yesterday. I am pretty thrilled with it-I know I need to do an NGD thread with pics for you guys but I haven't had time.
In the meantime I have been figuring out how i want to amplify this guitar to take advantage of its capabilities. I want to split the mag and piezo outs and send the piezo out to a volume pedal followed by a reverb pedal and then into a Yamaha powered PA cab. So here are my two questions-
1) Will the mix/mag output work with an "insert" cable (male 1/4 stereo jack at one end and two male 1/4 mono jacks at the other) or do I have to use two separate cables coming out of the guitar? I can't find this info anywhere!
2) When selecting a volume pedal to accept the piezo output, should I consider the piezo out as an "active" signal and get a volume pedal designed for that? I am looking at the EB VP Jr. and there are two versions with different pots-the 25K one is the one recommended for "active" signals.
