Hey MaxPow, welcome to the addiction club (as in, once you PRS, you won't settle for less and they will multiply like wabbits)! There are a some "introductory" threads. Here is one of them:Thanks Admin. I’m brand new. I’m not sure where to put my intro post. By “not sure” I mean that I have no idea.
Oh. By using “No worries mate” so authoritatively, I thought you might be Australian. Australians say that a lot. But Canadians are great. I’ve never met a Canadian I didn’t like.Canada buddy... Vancouver.

Welcome, and looking forward to your contributions!Hi.
I’m a new member. I’ve lurked for a while, but I’ve only been using and participating in the Forum for a couple of weeks. I live in South Australia, where great gear is scarce and costs a fortune. I’m a former professional musician who became a scientist/researcher, then a guitar repairer. I started playing the day Elvis died (Aug 16, 1977), but that’s just a coincidence…It makes it easy to remember when I started playing. My first guitar was a Terada Gibson Hummingbird copy with only five tuner buttons (I had to tune the G string with pliers). I used a Tele for ages, moved on to Gibsons, until they started having serious tuning issues, then decided to buy a PRS. I bought a ruined Core Mira for a tiny cost and restored it (I still have it). I was using a Les Paul Standard and a 335, and I wanted a change, so I bought a slightly-used CE24 Swamp Ash Special in 2022 and I put in new pickups, a new nut, and I tried quite a few different tremolos before installing a Gen II tremolo unit. I’ve been restoring guitars since 1980, and I started repairing and setting up other people’s guitars in 2000, but I only got into repairing PRS guitars seriously in the August 2024, and I’ve been able to help people in this forum over the past two weeks. I’m not very good with PRSs yet, but please contact me to discuss simple problems.
Cheers,
Max
Thank you.Welcome @TheRepairedMira and @MaxPow
