Thanks for the add...my Paul's Guitar(SE) arrives today. This will be PRS #3 for me, and I'm super stoked! Hoping to pick up alot of info on here...

I almost pulled the trigger on one of those. But I had to make my first a Tremonti. It was the PRS I always wanted. Paul's guitar is pretty rad though.

Took my first lesson tonight. I actually did research on my teacher. Turns out one of the guitar teachers at the little neighborhood music and arts school by my house used to be in a band I really dug growing up. We totally got along, rates are cheap too. This is totally working out!

That’s cool.

I forget the numbers, so they may be a bit off, but the thing stuck in my head:
"Just remember that 15 minutes a day, every day, is more beneficial than an hour or two every few weeks"

It definitely is, for two reasons. One is that playing everyday becomes a habit and part of your lifestyle. The other is that some of those 15 minutes will become an hour or two.

Now that I figured out how to connect my katana artist to the computer that's going to be a lot easier since currently that's acting as my tuner. I hate out of tune guitars.

Only thing I'm going to have to adjust to with my tremonti is not leaning on the bridge so heavy since it fully floats

Also remember that something seems like a b!tch to play one day, comes easier a day or two later as your muscle memory improves.

It’s certainly the case for my “old man” hands!

Howdy folks....

Quick intro - actually my first electric was my PRS and I bought it way back when... bought a Fender and a Les Paul but sold both of those, wouldn't let the PRS go.

It's a 2007 Standard Satin 22 in charcoal, with what I think are PRS #6 zebra pickups and the abalone bird inlays on the fingerboard.

Lovely thing that's been in the case most of it's life! I travel so much I hardly get a chance to play. And usually I just mess about on an acoustic if anything. But this week I've been going crazy listening to new bands, watching hours of guitar videos and just want to really learn to play this beast!

So anyway, here I am....

Hi all!
A new member here. I'm the happy owner of two PRS S2 Mira guitars. Really nice guitars to play with an incredible sound. Now looking forward to increase my PRS family with an S2 Standard or Custom :)
Cheers!

Greetings,

I'm a new board member and proud new owner of 2018 spalted maple SE custom 24.

I'm a middle aged guy who now lives in Maryland. I just started playing again (a year ago) after 25 years off. I got back into it as my church was in desperate need of someone to play acoustic guitar. I decided why not and then went out and bought a Seagull S6. Concurrently, I also dug up the early 90's Lotus Strat that was given to me by my parents in the heart of the grunge era. I starting learning how to setup guitars, modding pickups, pots, fret polishing, etc on my old lotus. I quickly realized that it was never going to be anything more than a toy....I wanted a real electric guitar. PRS stole my heart with the build quality and wide neck carves (similar to my Seagull S6). After months of shopping and waiting for deals I finally picked my SE custom 24 last week when a local store was trying to move old inventory and they knocked 175 off of the price! Throw in a Boss Katana 50 on top off it and now I'm attempting Zeppelin riffs and blues licks in my basement!

I'm happy to join this forum as it appears that the level of civility is a step up from other gear related pages.....

Cheers
