I had posted this a month ago on another forum and have since played and gigged this guitar and wow, covers most styles amazingly and is my #1. I am going to read up on how to post pics.

I have been shopping my ass off to figure out which new guitar to buy. I was almost completely sold on a Les Paul Standard until I picked up a PRS NF3 in passing at Guitar Rezurection in Austin. This guitar has the Patern Regular neck profile with a baked in finish that feels raw and three narowfield pickups, which are wound with the same wire and resistance as the 57/08 but thinner and deeper physically, they sound like a hum, P90, and single coil at different volumes.

That guitar messed up my LP plans and I started to look for other guitars that were a tad nicer (carved top, birds, no pickguard...) but had the same specs. I have been shopping on Reverb and found this one new for $1600. It arrived yesterday and I have played at least three hours on it on four different amps and am just so pleased with the playability, sound, tremolo, and set up. I forgot to take a picture of the case so I will post the sellers, but it makes you want to take your shirt off and lay on it, very sexy!

Congrats! SASs are great guitars. They definitely cover a ton of ground. Welcome to the forum.

There's a sticky post that goes over posting photos. If you have a photobucket type account, it's very easy.

Thanks guys, I love this guitar...I played some 40ish PRSs before I found the right combination of unfinished (feeling) pattern regular neck, birds, carved top, trem, and tons of pickup and sound combos. DGT was first on the list until I found a hideous SAS that played like heaven. I went home and found one for 800 less in a great finish and feel like I have made the most mature guitar purchase that I have made so far. I play in a cover band that does STP to Puscifer and need versatility, this booted my Carvin AE185 to the #2 position.

While we are awaiting visual stimuli, I will report that after a week of sitting in her case I played her at practice last night and it is so nice, best trem system I have come accross, and wow those NFs are something. My amp is a 1995 evil twin, basically a twin on one side and rivera drive channel on the other that just kills. It loves this guitar. The volume and tone knobs are the key to so many sounds in each of the five positions. This guitar may not suit everyone, but I think most could appreciate how special this model is given the right audition.

It's been loved . I really like how it looks and I'm sure it plays awesome....

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I don't think this will be my last PRS. I realy enjoyed the DGT and studio models while I was test driving guitars.
