Hi, I'm new here and just recently entered the world of PRS guitars. I've been a loyal Gibson/ Fender player for years but came across this SE Custom 22/ with hard case in a trade deal and I couldn't refuse it. I'm amazed at the quality and playability of this instrument! The first time I picked it up, it had a great comfortable "broken in" feel to it.
I have slightly tweaked the truss rod/ action.. filed the nut out for 10-46 strings. I've replaced the stock tuners with new nickel Kluson 19:1 locking types that fit the holes perfectly. I dropped in a Gudeman PIO .022uf tone capacitor and 180pf silver mica treble bleed cap. I have read that a lot of guys swap the pickups out immediately in these... but I actually like these stock pups (alnico V magnets). They are quite responsive, powerful and warm (9K neck, 10K bridge).
