New McCarty 594 Hollowbody 2, Noisy Pickup Selector Switch

I have a 594 McCarty Hollowbody 2 that I purchased in late May. Plugged it in yesterday after not having played for 10 days or so and the pickup selector switch makes a loud noise when switching between pickups. I've had several PRS guitars over the years and have never experienced this. Any thoughts?
