New Guy On PRS Forum.......and a strng question.

Good evening everyone: I am the proud owner of three PRS Guitars: CE-22 Maple Top, SC-245 McCarty and a new DG3. Once I learn how, I'll post pics because I know the rule about "It ain't real if it doesn't include pics". I'm finding the DG3 to be quite bright sounding with D'Addario EXL's on it and am wondering what other strings you have used on this type of single coil guitar? (I think the guitar sounded better with the factory issued PRS strings.) Thanks for the help. Take care. Emmitt_O

PRS sells their strings online, so do some dealers. The factory strings are all-nickel wrapped, as opposed to plated, so they sound a little warmer. That's probably what you're missing with the other strings.

ernie ball cobalts!!!! I use hybrid 9's on my 305, and custom 24(circa 1995)
