Hi, all.

Just a quick 'hello,' and introduction. My name is Mark, and I can't stop buying guitars.....

I found this forum site by accident a couple months ago...but put off joining until I was sure I was going to keep playing guitar (I started learning about 3 months ago, on what seemed like a ridiculous whim, and it turned into an obsession that I can't describe).

I have acquired a few toys since I strummed my first chord, and quickly realized that PRS is the only way to fly, for me. After initially buying (and quickly unloading) both an LP style guitar and Strat-like device, I have picked up:

An SE 245 in Tobacco Burst
An SE Tremonti Custom with SD Pearly Gates HBs in Grey/Black
An SE CU24 (30th Anniversary) in Chestnut
A brand spankin' new CE24 in Whale Blue (purchased TODAY)

I look forward to learning a lot on this site, and I enjoy reading about everyone's experiences.

Let the education begin!!!!!

Holy crap, Mark! The infection has spread bigtime! But to be honest, my name is Mark and I am a PRS-aholic. Only my wallet saves my sorry a$$. Condolences, or best wishes? Take your pick, and, oh, by the way, Congratulations!!! Ahahahaha!

And yes, as Les has said, "The pics!"

Welcome aboard! Way to jump in with both feet. And, like Les said, pics. We love pics!

Welcome to the forum Mark, and nice harem you have started.

Oh, since no one mentioned it yet, we need pics :D

I am having ZERO luck uploading photos from my phone.

Time to break out the PHD camera and snap some decent pics. Kindly stay tuned...I'll get some loaded this weekend.

I've already begun the tweaking projects. The three SE models have Grover 406c tuners and Tusq nuts.

The CE24, for now, stays as is. It has all the good neck feel and sound of another popular bolt on I tried several times...but has the added bonus of feeling SOLID all over, and has stunning 10 Top type figure in the maple top. I'm floored with how incredible it is.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I appreciate it!

Welcome Mark - heavy hittin' that GAS pedal.

You are averaging one and one-third guitars per month. Which means you should have 16 by the end of the year ;) Looking forward to pics of your current stable, and all of your NGDs to come.

How are you liking that new CE24? I LOVE CEs - old and new. Was just playing my new CE24 a few moments ago. She sounds and feels fantastic, has become my go-to. I upgraded the trem to a MannMade 2000NOS, which made the guitar even better.

Thank you, sir!

I'm quite certain that my GAS will continue, albeit at a slower rate, now. I'm told by my infinitely better half that, 'Four guitars is plenty, since you can only play one at a time.' I tend to disagree...but have little interest in sleeping in the shed out back...so I'm going to slow-roll my next purchase.

I DO love that dark gold burst thing that PRS has going on, though!

I am reluctant to try and offer a valid opinion on how all my guitars play, since I only know a few chords and a couple songs...but what I CAN say is that all four play consistently well for me. Obvious build differences aside, they all feel great. All are solid. All are smooth as silk. All are a blast to noodle around on. My Tremonti is my 'loud and angry' guitar. My 245 is my 'I'll do acoustic-type stuff' rig. My SE Custom 24 is my 'I feel respectable' gear, and my new CE is just FUN FUN FUN. Can't wait to get to know it better!

My new CE24 is very exciting, to me. The maple neck feels awesome, and I love the lighter weight, thinner body, and wicked pups. The wood grain in the top is gorgeous, and the finish is glass. As far as sound: Clean or dirty, it sounds phenomenal. My amp is a Peavy VIP II, and I played with all kinds of settings, and different pup configurations. Haven't found a sound I dislike (although the acoustic settings on the amp aren't really my thing yet, since I'm not sure how to set it up properly at the moment).

Can't wait to put up some photos! I love these things! I am hooked, for sure.

Well, if 4 guitars might seem enough to somebody (who is wrong), you can always start buying some more amps...

Welcome embrace the GAS its the only way to go - even my wife now says that guitars are like orphaned children - every now and then you have to take one in!

Congrats! My first PRS was definitely a gateway to my current collection, which I will grow more when the time is right...

As for posting photos, you can't upload directly from your phone/PC - you have to use a third-party photo-hosting site like Flickr or Photobucket. The FAQ instructions are obsolete. Instead, see this thread:

Looking forward to pics!
