Well by Thursday a new S2 Singlecut will be at my place. I got it in the antique white. I have a nice P22 in black gold wrap around with a nice top so don`t really need another fancy topped guitar. PLUS I have always wanted a WHITE guitar lol Funny thing is mine has the SC250 truss rod cover and Sweetwater just yesterday( after I placed my order but wanted white anyway) just got in a Dark Cherry sunburst and now the truss rod covers say SINGLECUT! I am hoping that some how I can get one from PRS.
Anyway looking forward to trying it out and running it through my Mesa Rectoverb- 25 combo. ( amazing amp)
I will post pics of the family when it gets here.

Does anyone know can the covers be removed easily on covered pick ups?? I think it would look sweet with the BLACK exposed coil open pups. I also like the tone a bit better with uncovered-- I can live with it though not a huge issue.

Sofaking Bangin'!!!!!

I love a white guitar! I'm already thinkin' how I'd do this guitar: Leave the covers, change the pup rings and toggle to white, and swap the lampshades to clear.... Now I want one. Congrats!

+1 except I would get zebra squabbins and leave the current knobs!!!! Awesome guitar. I really thing this will be the next one for me. Thinking black or the white.

Very classy, want to hear those #7s in person myself sometime - hopefully I can find a shop locally that will eventually get one in, and I can A/B them with my S2 Mira.

The white with the birds is really hot. I may be in the minority, but I think she looks great just the way she is.

Stunning! Resembles the mods I did to my Navarro SE - check out the thread as it's similar.

thanks everyone. I know it will look even better in person. they always do! I have wanted a singlecut again but really like the 25" scale. I think the option of coil taps on this will be nice too. I thought white would be a good stage guitar too. I ordered the PRS vintage case too so it will have a nice home to rest in lol. I will probably leave pups alone for quite a while. just get to know the guitar. should be easy going back and forth between this and the P22 as they both have the pattern reg profile. if I tire of these pups maybe a set of 59/09s or tremonti`s who knows. But I think I will be ok for now. Can`t wait til it arrives.

well it came in today and it looks great! Love the Antique white! some observations. I was wondering if the S2s had the same neck angle as the Core or more like SE. Well it is pretty much like an SE 245 but with a 25" scale. the neck is straight with no back angle like core series and body is thick like a Se245. so that being a generic LP case will not work as on the SE245 it won`t either. Not a bog deal I bought the PRS vintage hard case too. fits TIGHT and neck does not sit 100% flat in neck pocket but close. pretty much like the SE245 I had did. Ok the on the back they saved time by not recessing the body for the plastic electronics and toggle covers. ok they say they the neck is pattern regular but it FEELS much closer to the wide fat on my boys SE Singlecut than my P22 with pattern reg neck. I like the feel - even more than the P22. it is in my hand feel a bit thicker than the P22. I do not have calipers but I feel a difference. it is closer to the Se singlecut. I like it. tone. Pickups are defiantly hotter than the 53/10s in my P22. Pinch harmonics are much easier. My hot pick up test lol not the clarity of the 53/10s and warmer. MY boys Se singlecut has USA drop in electrics and a USA HFS/VINTAGE pup combo. I A/Bed the guitar thought a little line 6 spider amp to hear difference. the 7s are warmer. the HFS seems to have a bit more clarity and maybe a tad brighter. verdict is out yet lol. I need to run them through my Mesa Rectoverb 25 this weekend. Neck pup not quite the clarity I would like but the 53/10s are hard to beat. when clean the 53/10s have more bottom punch and clarity when playing low E string runs. tuners feel great and are really MINI lol. Knobs normal sized but smallest closed back part that I have ever seen! the bevel top is comfy on the arm and the belly cut is nice on back. I really like this guitar. will mess with it more. I may end up doing like a tremonti in bridge and maybe a 59/09 in neck. a friend of mine has that combo in his CU24 and loves it. the Tremonti is a bit more bright from what I understand which would be needed for drop tuning with out getting muddy. Set up is nice but might be a tad high on action for me so I will play with it. My P22 when new was way to high also.

did I mention the White is just plain AWESOME!
