New D1 Case

Hey, Anyone tried a D1 case yet? What's the verdict, and would you prefer new PRS's come in them instead of the wood cases?

I have the new D1 for my PRS and it is a great case. Built like a tank and very plush inside. I think that new PRS’s should come with them.

Indeed - it's an awesome case.

I'd want the D1 case instead of a wood case, regardless of model, including Private Stock. It seems a little crazy to bang around with a 20 pound guitar case if it can be avoided.

I got a D1 case back in April to replace the wood case for my CE22. Love it. Fits my CE22 snugly so the guitar does not move around at all inside the case. I use it regularly to go to band practice and gigs. Much lighter than the core wood cases. It gets thrown in the back of the truck or gear trailer, and holds up like a champ. I just wish it had more storage inside the case. I’m thinking about getting a second one for my back up Swamp Ash Special.
