Just got my first PRS guitar. After a ton of research I chose the Custom s2 24 because it was made in Maryland including the electronics. 24 Frets 25 inch thin pattern neck, locking tuners, tremolo that stays in tune, beautiful carved maple top, mahogany body and neck. Rosewood fingerboard with birds. Lake blue is gorgeous. Setup was perfect out of the box. Pickups are awesome and can be switched between humbucker and single pole giving me many different tone choices. Sustain is all there with crisp clarity. I have been playing for 55 years and own Gibson Les Pauls, SG, Fender Eric Clapton Strat and Martin acoustics. This is a great sounding and easy guitar to play. It's a keeper.

My S2 Cu24 is one of my favorite guitars for all of the reasons you mentioned

The next lesson you need to learn now is that PRS guitars are addictive and they multiply when you least expect it

Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the welcome. One of my band mates turned me on to PRS guitars. He let me play one from his collection of 179 guitars. It was an original PRS Santana model. That's what got me looking
Congrats and welcome! One solution to the addictive nature of PRS collecting - just start stealing from your friend. Chances are he won't notice any missing for years, if ever! 😜

Congratulations to both of you. I have a couple of S2’s, and they are great guitars that are worth the dinero. What will the next one be?
