need wiring modification help for in between strat like sound on 3 way toggle switch

Hi prs forum brothers. I have a singlecut trem satin with push pull tone knob and 3 way toggle switch, prs#6 pickups, by factory default, like these switching positions:

Without coil taps -
1) Neck humbucker
2) Both humbuckers
3) Bridge humbucker

With Coil taps
1) Neck single coil
2) Both single coils --------> (I'd like to modify these to neck & bridge inner coils PARALELL for the in-between strat sound)
3) Bridge single coil

I contacted Prs support and they told me that this modification is possible, but the guy had no diagrams and forwarded me to the Prs PTC. The problem is that I'm in Europe... Please help me, any pictures or wiring diagrams are welcome and would be nice. Thank you!

In the 1 and 3 positions, do you want the outer coils or the inner coils when split? If you want the inner coils on 1 and 3 split, this will be relatively straightforward, but if you want the outer coils, you'll likely have to resort to a 4PDT switch (e.g. Dimarzio EP1111) and some fairly tricksy wiring.

As I detailed above, I'd like to have in the second/middle position in tapped/pulled mode the inner coils in paralell. Or, -this is also o.k. for me- the neck inner coil with the bridge outer coil in paralell.

Thanks, unfortunately this mod has two pushpull pots, I have only one on the tone.

OK. The push/pull switch on the tone control grounds the leads from the "middle" of the pickup. I *think* what's you'll need to do is swap the hot (start) and ground (end) wires' connections for each pickup, so that the pickups electrically start with the inner coils rather than the outer coils.

(Out of curiosity, do these pickups have 3 insulated leads or 4?)

This is the strangest wiring I've ever seen. Two leads comes from every pickup: an insulated white, and a shielded thicker black one...

Based on the photo, I think the white connects to the center tap of the pickup and the black is the hot lead. They may be using the shield as the ground lead, in which case that you want to do may be harder than I'd thought.

At this point, you may want to talk to the PTC...

To have inner coils active when you split, swap the black and white pickup wires in the above diagram.

Parallel, in phase. You simply get the inside coils when tapped instead of the outside coils. I used to have my CU24 wired this way.

I see. I too have this diagram downloaded, it belongs to the singlecut trem's generally. This is the actual situation. What I want to have is a Fender 2. or 3. position like sound when my singlecut is coil splitted in the middle position.

I think swapping those pickup wires will get you there. I lost some confidence when I noticed there is no red wire coming from the #6 pickups. I am always a bit confused when it comes to wiring PRS pickups though, since they don't use the typical wire arrangements. If it doesn't work, it's no big deal since it'll only take 10 minutes to try it out.
