Hey guys, recently I've been super interested in picking up an S2 McCarty 594 Singlecut. I went out to see and play it in person, but I really am not a fan of the inlay material. It seems that on the S2 they use some different type of material that is reminiscent of plain plastic rather than the shinier look we are more accustomed to on the other models.

My question now is: is there any way to replace the inlays on this guitar, or order it specifically with different inlays? It honestly is somewhat of a dealbreaker for me.

Thanks in advance.

Not any way that would be remotely cheap and worth doing, unfortunately.

I'm sure there's a cost savings there, making them with the plain white plastic, but I wish they would do a faux... something for a few extra bucks.

I thought it was odd that an SE can have abalone/faux abalone but the S2 and modern CE can't. But I also think guitars over 1k should come with a hard case but apparently that's a no.
