I I've in a place where I can't just pop down to the music shop to try stuff out and have to rely on mail order and therefore depend on recomendations of others. Now I have a slate grey (has a green tinge to it) singlecut HB II and am after a quality strap, I was thinking black to match the head stock or maybe a green or light tan to match the guitars unfinished faux binding but am open to suggestions,, cost not being that important (within reason). Any recomendations or better still photos. And yes I did order my PRS sight unseen mail order.
Cheers

Define "quality strap". Do you like the slightly slinky feel of the nylon "seatbelt" straps, do you like leather, or the grippiness of suede, do you want padded or unpadded?

Frankly, I usually buy the $5 to $10 straps off Amazon that match the color I want to accentuate. Browns, maroons, greys, blacks, dark greens, are all recent purchases. Plus an orange one that is almost a dark peach/red combo, which doesn't seem to go with anything (thought it might contrast the spalt of my ZM, but it does not).

Anyway, the PRS store has some nice selections too! I picked up a brown nylon one.

I have this one, and it is the bee's knees. Really, really like it. It's the best one I have ever owned. I can imagine it lasting a lifetime.

Some nice suggestions so far thanks. I really want a strap to last for the duration so I was thinking leather. The HB is extremely light so padding is not an issue either way. I quite like the look of Levy leather ones. Would love to see some actually on a PRS. Still open to any suggestions the key thing for me is that the strap enhances the look of what is a handsome guitar rather than distract from it.

Again thanks for the suggestions, such a variety it's hard to choose just by a picture of the strap, but few of the sites actually show them on guitars very good manufactures put forward here though.

Forget what mine is but it;s a nice suede. Not enough room to put a straplock on as well though so hopefully my PRS never falls off.....

I use the PRS padded straps, and also NEOTECH straps. both excellent.
Another vote for NEOTECH straps...My buddy has been using their products for well over a decade and I recently made the switch. Depending on your needs / guitar weight(s)...they have a pretty wide range of styles. Also if you have a HEAVY guitar in the mix, their MEGA straps work really well to mask / spread the weight across your shoulder, etc.

I'm somewhat strap-agnostic brand-wise. I have a couple leather Planet Waves that are pretty nice. But I have to say, the PRS straps are a definite step above. I have a padded one that is my primary, along with a couple unpadded that I use periodically. I only play at home, so the padded may be a bit overkill, but it is extremely comfortable.

I have more straps than guitars now.
I have Levi, PRS, Planet Waves, and two by Wide Rides.

I run Schaller Strap Locks on all of my straps, so the ones that have the leather ends (Levi and PRS) that you weave into the holes to adjust the length are a PITA to adjust since you have to unbolt the Strap Locks from them.
I do have a few non leather straps from PRS too that use the sliding buckles, so those are easy to adjust, no removing of the locks needed.

But these Wide Rides are currently my favorites.
They use heavy duty Velcro to adjust the strap length, and the part that goes over your should is wider so it distributes the weight making it very comfortable.
I have one with sculls, and one with lizards on them.
The wide part that rides on your shoulders is non slip, so the guitar stays in place.
