Anyone have both and can make a comparison?

I have a couple Santana's and they are .94/.95 at the 12th, not huge, which is good. The "not Santana" Santanas I have, kl33 and westie, are totally different, about 1" at the 12th and R8/R7 ish shoulder shape. Much prefer the smaller Santana shape.

No dealer locally has a McCarty, so no way to try Pattern. Curious how it compares.

Pattern is what on the Paul’s Guitar, the MEV and many others. It is to me the most comfortable neck and it’s not chunky like a 59 Les Paul and not as chunky as a Santana retro. Definitely not the older Santanas.

i had a Santana and it was the biggest PRS neck i have played, by a fair margin, and pretty sure I have owned every carve including the signatures like the DGT, Tremonti, etc.

Which Santana? My retros are nowhere near as big as my kl33 or westie, and not nearly as big as the hollowbody I had.

I have a Santana and a number which are Wide-Fat, including some older McCartys (2000, 2012), the Santana seems to be rounder where the others have more of a very very subtle V.

They are comparable, but the Santana def has it's own vibe.

Would you describe the WF Core neck carve similar to SE WF carve?
I would imagine the intent is there, but I've only played an SE guitar a scant few times quite a while ago (in the before-times).

My vague recollection of it is that it felt a bit more .... 'boxy' - As I recall it was the older radius top style Standard 24, things may have changed.

There seems to have been various versions of WF. The Santanas feel significantly different, in a good way, from other W/F I've played, and aren't as thick front to back. Some W/F feel more like pattern vintage. From what I can find, pattern is supposed to be like pattern regular but with 1&11/16 nut width. If that holds true, it should be a soft V with 12th fret thickness in the .92 to .95 range, but again, there seems to be quite a variation.
