As the title says, the pickup on my new SE 24 rattles mechanically when I'm playing E's, F's, F#'s, G's and G#'s on the low E string. If I put my finger on it, the vibration stops; if I press a bit on it, the vibration stops for even a few days, but it always comes back.
I can't hear anything off through the amp, but this just irks me. I read somewhere that "it's easy, just replace the springs that support the pickup with stiffer ones" or "just put some acoustic foam spacers at the ends of those springs". How can I get to those springs, do I need to separate the pickups from the guitar? Or is there a way for just the caps to come off...
