Neck pickup - Jazz is a good option?

Hi guys,

I have duncans in my SE Custom 24, with Duncans JB & Jazz.
The JB is awesome, but sometimes I think the Jazz is a little weak or the sound is not so great as the JB when soloing with some overdrive.
Can you suggest me another pickup? Or perhaps this one IS the one and the porblem is me?

I know this combo is over done but works well JB bridge and 59 bass.

I'm a Petrucci fan, so I wonder how the DiMarzio Liquifire would do with my guitar. Any thoughts?
