Hi all,
This is a belated new guitar day as I have been doing some mods since I got it a couple months ago. Nod to Brian's Guitars again, for another great deal on a barely-used guitar.

So this is an artist package Custom 24, with a curly maple neck, which is actually stained in fire red burst too, and has an ebony fretboard, a personal fave.

Anyways, I took out the 57/08s because I wanted this to be more of a hard rock guitar, and swapped in some Bare Knuckles along with new pickup rings. Behold this red monster!

The maple neck gives it a nice sparkle, and spank - particularly in the single coil modes. And the BKP's I got more than make up for some of the inherent mids lost without a mahogany neck.

This sucker is a flamethrower now and is giving my Siggy a serious run as my #1 gigging guitar!

Hells Yeah! What BKP's did you go with?

Got a Crawler in the bridge and an Emerald in the neck.

The Crawler is about 15.5k, and emphasizes lows, and mids while sweetening the highs, which have proved perfect for this guitar as it was kinda bright and thin with the 57/08s and maple neck. Now it roars like a LP.

The Emerald neck I was talked into after researching the BKP forums, it's really cool - AIV magnet, so it's got a little vintage, vocal flavor but still enough output to balance (10.5k) and provide a modern liquid feel.

I know this is a PRS board, but they really know what they're doing over there with the hand scatter-wound thing - you really retain all of the clarity of a 57/08, but can get a lot more power, or different EQ depending on what you're looking for. YMMV.

Gorgeous. Entire guitar is a knock out but yea, that neck..... SwEeeeeeEeeeeeeeT
