Was thinking about putting a set of 3 narrow field deep dish S pick-ups in a DC-3 body. Would love some opinions? Considering the scale length differences. Is this a good idea?

I think they’re great pickups, but do be aware of the way PRS wires them in the NF3 SE. if memory serves, 1 meg volume pot and then individual resistors in parallel to make each pickup “see” a different resistance on the volume pot.

Personally, if you’re already wired for 500K, I’d try that first and just see what happens, just be aware of the option if it ends up sounding kinda dark. If you do go for the SE wiring with the resistors, it’ll make the volume pot have most of the adjustment from 7-10, vs a more gradual taper, and I really recommend a bright cap with that as well.

I don’t think the scale length difference would be a reason not to try.

You very likely need to do some routing on the body , DC3 has some pretty tight body routing but if you are a fan of the 25 1/4 in scale and the Deep Dish pickups go for it !!!

Think about using any single coil size pickups in the DC3. A number of us have gotten pickguards from silver Sky mod shop and put various noiseless single coils in the DC3. Works great!
