Sorry it is not a PRS Amp, but it is Santana approved. A Mesa Mark I reissue. So hopefully you guys will cut me some slack. Besides, nothing sounds better than a PRS Guitar through a Boogie Amp, besides well a PRS Guitar through a PRS Amp. This amp was just announced this morning. it is a limited run. Mine will be here in January/February.
Can't wait!

I like the snake skin and the simplicity. I bet it sounds pretty rocking. But will it Carcass?

Thank you guys. I am walking around on clouds with the announcement of this release. Here is a few more pics. One pic with Santana and his Sig PRS. It looks like the one that his wife gave him.

Wanted to give an update and a little tone report on Mesa King Snake. I am terrible with metaphors so I wont really try all that stuff. The amp sounds wonderful. You forget that you are playing guitar when you hear the notes come out of that Filmore speaker. Of course it sounds like a Mark 1, because that is what it is with a few benefits. The benefits are, 10, 60, and 100 watts, the speaker, the mid boost, tweed or blackface presence, and slave output. It is a one channel amp with two inputs. The first input and volume one give you pre amp gain that cascades into the main amp of volume 2. Setting volume one and two on the high side and the master volume about two, you get sustain and drive as if it were dimed out, but really near quiet. Crank the master to seven, treb about 7, mid w/boost at 10 and bass about four, it is Santanas sound dead on. The mid boost works like this; Settings one to five is reg mid settings, past five kicks in midboost that is very ballsy when cranked. The amp sounds great. It plays very cleanly or very overdriven with slight adjustment that does not require alot of thought to work out. To play my fullsize jazzbox, I plug into input two, put in 10 watt mode, volume two on two and master at two, mid at five and it sounds very full. I also get a wonderful Gary Moore sound out of this amp as well.

Nice! Glad to hear you are so happy with it. It's a cool take on updating a classic.

Instantly identifiable and 10/10 on the cool scale. That with an HBII would be dreamy. Enjoy!

I love the older Boogies, too. I love my PRS amps, but it'd be cool to have one of those also!

Update on my tone report. I have been playing my Modern Eagle Quatro with 53-10's. and 10 ga. strings. I found the sweet spot on the amp was within to narrow of a window for my liking. The saturated, compressed, blooming notes could easily find themselves in overdrive territory to easily. So I set the amp with a little more gain and drive that was slightly out of the sweet spot and left the amp alone. I swapped out a 10 foot cable for a 25 foot cable and found a slight reduction in the overdrive. I tried this because I had seen and read and about it but did not really think much of it, but it is true. Not a lot of difference, just a little. Next thing I did was start lowering the bass and treble pups 1/4 and/or 1/2 turn at a time. Each turn brought better and better results. With the bass pup flat even with the ring and the treble pup slightly half of its factory spec height, I was just about there. The overdrive went away and those creamy blooming notes were in full wonderful force. The sustain had improved also, but not enough to my liking. I swapped the strings for PRS 9.5's and I can proudly say I have found my sonic nirvana. Ten,twelve, fifteeen seconds of clean sustain with no effort. Oh Mercy! The sustain increased significantly and the amp kept that sweet saturation point without being overdriven. Adjusting the volume on the guitar just made it that much better with only very little being added as overdrive. Back at the amp I found more wiggle room to expand the sweet spot.

What a splendid combination, PRS ME Quatro, 53-10's, Mesa KingSnake (Mark 1) . Mercy! This amp brings the best of the Mark 1 and Mark2C+ together, I do believe. The tone I am getting just takes me to another place. I feel as if the guitar is part of me and the amp is pulling the notes right out of my head with the guitar as the conduit. Whew! I need a cigarette and I do not even smoke.

Oh, and yes Boogie, a HBII is in the works and I could not think of a better amp to run it through.
