I haven't been able to post a new amp day until today

My first PRS amp.
2012 HXDA 30 head
Also picked up an early pine stealth 2x12 cab
and built another Adirondack chair stand.

That’s beautiful work...and a great idea!!!

You will love that amp and cab, and I’m stealing that stand idea... love it! Do you have any drawing to share or is it a fit as you go sort of thing? I could even drop the combo on the bottom and the Ox Box on top. Sweet!

Trifecta!

Nice job on the stand. HXDA with the PRS cab is a killer combo

So when are you going to stop messing around and get a real amp?

OK, OK, I didn’t really mean that. That was jealous DTR talking. :D

my apologies to all. I haven’t use that tone since I met Julie Bowen‘s husband. Poor guy is probably still wondering what “oh yeah, well at least I have an Archon and you don’t” means.

On a serious note, if it were me, I would look at swapping at least one of the speakers for a high powered green back type.

Edit: after you’ve put it through its paces, of course

I know, I know. It took me long enough to get a real amp.
Just waiting for a replacement set of preamp and power tubes so l can let er rip.

I do have an older peavey 412 cab that I think I am going to load up with some greenbacks.
I was going to offload it, but I think I'll keep it around and try the greenbacks in it.

Wow, Wow, Wow!
Finally received the original preamp and power tubes today and got it biased and all I can say is wow!

So smooth and so gnarly at the same time. Never had an amp that was so reactive to guitar volume.
Got some killer Gibbons, Angus and Page tones already in the first hour.

Just a small tweak of the MV and it sounds so different.
Just so :) with this. Absolutely money well spent.
I'm going to be busy with this for months....
3 words......Bravo Paul, Bravo.

Everyone here knows, I’ve come SO close a couple times. So, way to rub it in.
Seriously, congrats on a lifetime keeper amp!

Interested to hear what you think about the cabs and speakers you use it with. Congrats, and fantastic looking stands!

Guess I am late to the party. Sorry DTR, didnt mean to rub it in. Dave's has another one for a what I think is a good price. This is definitely a keeper. I mean I saw the videos and reviews but just had no idea until I heard it in person. This one moved right to the top.

.......bravo Doug Sewell, bravo........he is the man

Thats what I should have started with. I know Paul's name is on there, but it was all Doug. So bravo Doug!

Only just played thru the PRS 212 stealth cab so far as I couldnt put the guitar down long enough to change cabs. I'll mix and match and try and give an accurate tone report soon. Those winged C's power tubes are amazing.
