Here we go again...
Okay, so this fine beast is a 2005 McRosie. Rosewood neck, 10 top, Tortoiseshell, McCarty pups, gold hardware, all stock.
So far, this may be my favorite PRS. I LOVE the rosewood neck. It's my first rosewood necked guitar and now I understand what all the fuss is about. Wow. It feels so amazing, and like "where have you been all my life?". I'm also really liking the sound. It came with 9's, which are not my cup of tea. In switching them over, I accidentally put on a set of pure nickel 11's instead of 10's which is what I usually play on...oops. However, the sound with the 11's is amazing. These older McRosies are definitely warm guitars; I wouldn't call this one 'dark', but it's definitely warm and super creamy. I play mostly clean jazz, and there is just nothing wrong with this guitar. I need to spend some more time with it...like right now...so this post is coming to an end...but suffice to say I need to spend some serious play time with this rather tasteful and understated bad boy.
