So, over the weekend I was "helping" my son with his third grade make-your-own instrument project. He chose guitar himself; I MAY have had some influence over the construction techniques and materials.

In any event, as we were rifling though my wife's criminally underutilized scrapbooking drawers, my son came upon these lovely birds, and said "Dad...we can use these on the neck - just like your PRSes!"

I choked back a tear, quelled the urge to correct him (it's a FRETBOARD, DAMMITT) and tousled his hair.

"Yes we can, son...yes we can."
