Now wait a second. Are they Paul’s guitars, or are they mine? Can’t be both can it?
Well I just received this PS prototype on a very special NGD. The main reason I moved for the guitar is remarkably explicit in the certificate - the first time I’ve ever seen such subject matter mentioned in one. COA’s usually authenticate specs, not personalised history.
And speaking of specs...
A magical wide-curl top,
To match a luscious Honduran headstock
A smooth unfinished Chaltecoco neck,
Set in old fashioned mahogany back
All woods handpicked by one Paul,
From fabled hoard nigh down hall
No vain trinket is this, no mere bauble,
But the Piper’s very own mighty fiddle!
Beware beware, should you even glance a string,
Your very heart will its magic voice win
Wears a lovely Cacao stain,
Such a dead ringer for the bitter real thing!
When the mood strikes for silly banter,
I’ll say it plays like chocolate not like butter
Finally it’s a TCI belly I believe,
Tis a prototype for ‘an upcoming Paul’s Guitar release’!
Now back to prose for a storyline twist,
M Night Shyamalan are you ready for this?
The new guitar will now perfectly complement my other Paul’s guitar, which surprise surprise, is another prototype with a 100% identical history. Luke my boy, you have a twin sister!
This other one has a gorgeous Dirty Violin stain and the now ‘extinct’ Pernambuco neck. If Paul ever writes a memoir of his life’s work, I will certainly look for mention of the Caesalpinia wood species and his apparent affinity for it.
And now with final thoughts being what were the odds,
We now conclude with the family shot!
