Helle everybody,

So finally, as I´ve promised I did it. After travelling many hundred Miles, I´ve
purchased a Coreline SC-250 Ten Top. Bargaining, I´ve got her finally 330 Dollars cheaper
from the starting Price. When you read that further, You will find out why.

The Curse:
In the last days I was trying to find out about the authencity of the Pups(Thanks to some Guys in the Forum by the way). I just called even in the US at the Tech Center. The Pickups are authentic,
but testing the Guitar on a Soldano Head Amplifier showed that something wrong with
the Pups. The sound a bit thin for what I´ve expected from SC 250 Pups
and they feedback strongly as soon, as you stop playing..The Strings were also horribly old. I mean by saying old years..

The Blessing:

Besides this, the Guitar is in excellent condition, no scratches and ding dongs,
great Wood ,Shape and Colour in my Opinion. Neck feels good in the hands as well.
Guitar Case, goodies and all PRS-Papers included.

Conclusion:

I will bring her to my Guitar Tech/Luthier as soon as possible.
First I ask him to try, to remove the metal covers, from that
damn paste., so the feedback might disappear. As well I will
let him check the Pots from the inside.

Well, I believe there is still much room of improvement to get a better PRS-worthy sound of that SC-250 Beauty.
If I can´t get a fuller sound and rid of the feedbacks with the original Pups,
so I have here some options left. Without touching my other PRS Guitars,
I have a nearly new pair of the PRS "M" Metal Pups and a pair of BKP´s
"Holy Grails" and brand new BKP´s Push Pull Pots and Capacitors. Hope it will work.

So what do you think?

Pictures are coming soon.

Very nice sir, good luck with the issues. What strings are you going to put on?

I have some Options here to choose from..I owe several Guitars so I´ve bought recently..: 2 Packages of D´Addario NYXL 10/52´s and 11/52´s, D-Addarrio D-Standard Nickel wounds,
GHS 10´s Boomers, GHS-Dave Mustaine Signatures, 2 Packages PRS Nickel Wound 10´s, Thomastik Power Brights 9, 10, and 11´s and Thomastik Blues Sliders SL110. I am a Stringaddict as well. Trying all the time something new .
Some of them I´haven´t tried out yet.. But I´ve heard outstanding things/reviews about the Thomastik Strings. They are from Vienna.
What kind of Strings do You use Paz?

I’ve just put Ernie Ball 10-52 on my custom 24. An old school friend has his own guitar building business, so he did it for me. (He had to adjust a few things) like to have a bit of meat on the bass side! I actually use Ernie Ball strings on all my guitars, I’m a big fan of them. It’s definitely good to have a collection!

Nice! I'm dating her older sister...

Beautiful guitar! Get those pickups sorted out, and I think you'll have a keeper there.

That´s what I deeply hope..It will likely take some months and the needed capabilities, but I am pretty motivated to make finally a powerfull beast out of her!:D
I am considering multiple Pickup Swaps with different Pick up pairs, fresh Pots and so on.

It looks good. I’m sure you can sort out the pickups and get a sound you like. I’d try the BKP and get a nice set of 10s on it - from what you listed, I’d try the Thomastik Blues. Don’t know anything about them, but the name appeals to me for an SC250.
