Just received a new S2 Mira last night and thought I'd quickly share my first impressions.
(Sorry I can't post pictures , unless someone can tell me how to from an iPad)(no computer)
Anyway I can compare this to my core custom 24 and my gibson SG for best comparisons.
Fit and finish, set up, action were all perfect. No flaws that I can see.
Neck: my core is pattern thin. I'm definitely prefer the thin, though I can go between different necks without much issue. This is the only part of this guitar giving me second thoughts. It has that feel of a large epiphone type neck. Kind of hard to explain, but feels like its hallow not solid.
Tone: compared to my SG the Mira is a lot clearer, less muddy at times and has way more options with the coil splits. Compared to my Core , it's pretty close but the Core is just perfect. But I didn't expect it to be better just different and it comes through in this regard.
I hope to have more time with it today to see if it's going to be a keeper.
If anyone has any questions please ask I'll do my best to answer.
