Hey all just joined the forum
just bought my first prs 2 weeks ago
always wanted a prs, been looking for about 6 - 8 months , filially played one i liked and bought it
so its a
1989 Custom 24 ten top with sweet switch
Probably the most incredible/consistent fine-striped finish that I've seen from the period, and on a "vintage sunburst" finish. "10"-top and birds, with the old wiring style (cocked wah sound in the 9 position), and complete with unstamped T&B pickups. Incredible tone, and a great-playing guitar. Condition is a solid 9/10 with just a few small marks in places on selected edges of the guitar and some light buckle rash on the back .

think i may modify it as i have some good pickup configuration ideas but will get to know the guitar first, might swap the pickups out too but unsure at this time
had a full setup and fret dress done by Bill Puplett

My main guitar before this was a Gibson les Paul standard with Alinco pro 11 coil tapped

thanks again

congrats and welcome. the journey has just begun. it may be your first PRS, but it will NOT be your last! (it's a sickness, but a good one)

That is really nice. If you have to change anything be sure to keep the original parts. Your guitar is from the early days of PRS and those first three to four years 85' to 89' get alot of attention. Beautiful top, very sweet!

I have to say now ive plade this through an engl powerball and old plexi marshall i dont think i need to change the pickups atm some of the sounds of this guitar are amazing !
