I've lusted after these guitars since the early 90's, but since guitar is purely a hobby for me and already own some nice guitars, wasn't able to justify the expense previously. I was raising two kids and; well you all know how life goes.

Any-who, seeing as though I turned 61 in the year PRS turned 30, figure I'm not getting any younger and so impressed with what this company is doing for its Ann; bought my Custom 24. Only played it for 1/2 hour so far as I need to get some work done before I log off; but in love. From a cosmetic point of view; this is a masterpiece, no other way to put it; far more beautiful and flattering in-person than the pictures at the dealer could reveal.

On a side note, I must of changed my mind about which finish I wanted about a dozen times; but thrilled with landing on blood orange.

Wasn't sure about the "Normal Pattern" neck I selected, but turned out to be the best choice for me. As it is, the neck seems smaller than the 54' Strat neck I'm used to and it's great; any smaller for me (I have fairly big hands) would have been too thin I think.

Not quite getting the sustain I hoped for, but that may very well just be me so far. I haven't played really loud or with any over drive; just expected it to naturally hold the note for 6-7-seconds about; and seem to be only getting 3-4--secs, but we'll see.

She genuinely plays like a dream. Feels perfect in my hands; neck is great and the sound is over the top; really compliments the Strat sound I already have from my; uh doh, Strat ;p I'm going to get years; actually the rest of my life of enjoyment from this guitar. I love it and surely, what I'm feeling right now must be what this company was aiming for in the first place and has been doing for 30-years; making guitarists hearts healthier. Thank you PRS !!

Congrats I didn't get my first until I was 59. We deserve nice things at our age.

Beautiful guitar.

Beautiful good luck and welcome to the club your in trouble now I guarantee it won't be your last.

That's gorgeous!

I love the 30th CU24s, mine has made me happier every day since it arrived. :top:

You're words remind me of how I felt when I got my first PRS in the 90's, after a while the cosmetic will become secondary to the feel and tone you'll become addicted to. But for now..... ....It's beautiful & new..... ... enjoy!!!

Oh Huggy, I'm already fixed on the feel and tone. This plays and sounds so much better in many ways than what I've been using, and I have some nice gear. There is a full, warm, total tonal quality to it that's hard to put in words, but obviously you folks already know this. Looks are very nice but not the reason I made this choice and thrilled to hear the reasons for myself now.

Thank you for all your grats. Better keep my day job cause I can see how one PRS can lead to more. Totally get it now!

This is how it begins. The first thing I said when I started playing on my custom 24 was "now I get it"...

Those 30th Anni Cu24's are among the sweetest packages PRS has ever put together. I have a much loved '06 Cu24 AP, but those 30th's are killin' me!

Yours is a beauty! You picked a great color.

I agree... Boss is pushing for a solid promotion for me this summer... If so I think I'll have to get a 30th to celebrate.

That's right baby!! I've owned 3 so far, a 10-top cu22 w/dragon pups (sold it....wahhh), Mccarty HB (main composing tool), and an SE sglcut (the bar room beater). Hopefully I'll find an HB II w/piezo in my future.
But one thing is for sure....... ......you'll never look at your other guitars the same way anymore.

Congrats!! I was 47 when PRS came into my life..
Yeah you never look at the other brands quite the same ever again..
