I was going through some of my mom's old pictures and guess what I found.......My 1st guitar! Christmas 1987! That would have made me 12. Unfortunately, it would be another 6 or 7 years before I actually started learning to play. We weren't in a financial condition to afford stuff like LESSONS. And it wasn't the YouTube era where you could just go on line for music tips. H*ll, I couldn't even tune it. But it sparked my desire to learn to play. And now, I can even play a song or two.

Actually, I know what is first sampling keyboard was. It was an EPS. I got it for him back in like 2001 or so. I think he wanted an ASR, but I found [as is typical of me] a deal on the EPS, that that is what he started out on.
Ooh! My first “real” sampler that I bought was an EPS 16+! I loved that board, and I especially miss the huge library of samples I built with it.. shoulda never gotten rid of it when I “upgraded”.

Does he still have his? I follow this dude Jake One on Insta, and he pulled his ASR out a couple years ago and it was giving me FOMO.

Digging the GI Joe H.A.V.O.C. And what I’m guessing was the COBRA Copter
That was the era! Something about the toys back then were just..........FUN!
Walmart reissued some of the old GI Joe stuff, but it’s different. Last Xmas my son was all about the GI Joes and I got him the Cobra copter and Hiss Tank. The figures are kinda busted @ss though.

Man. my G.I. Joes were like 12" tall, with fuzzy hair and clothes. Just Google them.....they go for like $250 now!

Yeah, my G.I. Joe never made it to 12", but fuzzy hair and an occasional rain jacket were there! No girl ever gave me $250 to have a go with it though, maybe I need to put it back on the market!! Wait, we are talking about, . . . , never mind!!!

I love remembrances like these!

Unfortunately, pictures of my stuff were painted on cave walls, and since I didn't know where I actually lived - geography hadn't been invented - I'll never be able to find them.

I mean, was that my Ibex or your Ibex in that painting?
