the neck pick up is louder than the bridge pick up. and the single coil setting is also noticeably lower in volume. has anyone else had these issues.
 
Pickup heights can solve your problem nicely. If your split tones are too low gain, you can place a resistor to ground on your pickup split wire to increase the gain of the split mode. It’s called a resistor tap. Usually a metal film between 1.1K and 2.2K.

You must be talking about 8515 pickups.

You'll notice most pics showing guitars with 8515/5815, the bridge is most always set higher by a fair amount than neck.
