The pic in my avatar is me and my dad, it was taken a couple years ago at my grandfathers 90th birthday party. We buried my grandfather this month, he was 92. I will miss him dearly.

My dad will be 70 this month, not sure how that happened. I turned 49 this year and that just proves time keeps ticking away.

Pick up the phone and call Dad. Spend some time with Dad or just hang with him. Tell him how great he is!

I didn't know my dad was cool until I was about 30. It breaks my heart to think it. I gave him a shout the Friday before Father's Day. He's picked up the guitar and digs talking tone.

That's a special thing indeed.

Unfortunately my dad died in 1986. However, my son was born in 1986, so there's still a father-son relationship I can enjoy.

Just lost my mom and aunt a few weeks ago. ..
Make the most of your time with the ones you love, because it's just never enough. ..

Treasure your Dad.
Doesn't matter whether he is cool or not. We all take our parents for granted.
Go so far as to tell him that you love him, give him a hug. The emotion will flow. Hard for guys to do.
Fortunately, I did, but believe me, when he is gone it will be to late and you will never get the chance again.

My Dad died from cancer in 2010 aged just 67, two years after retiring. Now my Mum also has cancer but is battling on and just had her 70th Birthday.

Treasure every moment with every member of your family as you never know when it could be the last. Never leave it until tomorrow to say 'I love you'.

Scott.

Guitar was one of the few things me and my dad had in common. We could be pissy at each other about something stupid but could still hang and play and talk guitars no matter what. He was a flamenco player of all things and it was fun when I finally convinced him in my early twenties to try electric instruments. He actually got a PRS before me and turned me onto them.
