I am really digging how they have been using mainly PRS guitars as of late in their reviews.

I had an original Phase 90 I got new back around '73 or '74.
I think I gave it away when I sold my '73 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in '86 when my second son came along.

Don is a great player, that is his personal guitar. I am looking forward to meeting him this summer at Sweetwater's gearfest.

Cool twist on one of the mainstays on my pedalboard, a Phase90.

Didn't know that Bruce Jenner had time to do reviews with everything that's going on in his life.

I dunno.

Interesting and all that, but seems a bit gimmicky.

Well, phasers are always something you have to use subtly or over the top - there is very little middle ground. And it gets used a lot more than you might think.

I can see this effect being well loved by everyone who plays with stereo rigs - they can add a subtle spread to the phase-y-ness.

Shoegazers will probably love it.

And the ability to switch between script and block Phase 90 modes is very cool. I might look into getting one of these...

Dang it, I thought I was done collecting effects pedals for now, because I was too busy collecting guitars!

I guess you're right -- I have a lot of wild sounding effects on my H9 that make me think, "Impressive, but who's gonna use it?" And then someone does use it, and makes it sound cool, and I say, "Why didn't I think of using that?"

Then again, I'm just getting around to trying things out that were classics by 1955, so there's that. ;)

What would Van Halen sound like without one of these?
Not as good, the original Phase 90 like I use to have was used on numerous rock/metal recordings from the 70s and 80s.
Still wish I had mine, but my TC Electronic John Petrucci Dreamscape pedal has phase on it which sounds pretty good.
