I have ran both a Screamin Blues and a BD-2 into a JHS Morning Glory (MG) at different times
They were good
but I was always looking for something just a little better to run into the morning glory and I pick up different pedals as I find good deals in them

I recently picked up a MXR Duke of Tone (DoT) and WOW was I shocked
It went head to head with the MG, and out shined it.
The mids and the brights had a lot more "sparkle"
Even my guitar teacher was pleasantly surprised. He picked the DoT over the MG as well
It's a fun pedal for not much money

So now I am looking for something to run into the DoT and replace the MG. I have an EHX Soul Food on the way (A Klon Clone)

So Am I Hearing You Right That You Are Stacking Pedals For Gain? What Amp Are You Using?

not necessarily stacking for gain
just trying to get the sound in my head
I am only using the DoT currently
I should have made that more clear

I was using the Archon 50w on the clean channel
the lead channel was almost unusuable to me until I changed the tube at V3

I’m always curious about such tube swaps. What did you use?

Edit - for the record, I’m not planning any swaps in my TC-100, it doesn’t need any changes. I did fool around with tubes a little in my now sold mkv25.

I put a 5751 in V3 and it calmed the Lead channel down for me
There was discussion here:
Kudos to DTR

@DreamTheaterRules was a big help when discussing the Amp

Cool, thanks. Yup, @DreamTheaterRules is a great resource for this amp. If I don’t build something, an Archon or CAD amp of some sort will probably be the last amp for my little collection. Something robust and p2p or turret board wired, just so that I have one.

Anyway, back to the OP - I got nothing other than it sounds like a cool pedal!

Just to be clear
I have the newest version of the Archon 50w not the USA version

Play Around With Reversing The Gain And Master. Instead Of Upping The Gain And Lowering The Master, Simply Reverse Them. Raise Your Master And Control The Volume (So To Speak With The Gain) And See If You Can Find A Nice Place To Call Home For You That Way If You Haven't Already Tried That Out. With What You Are Doing And How You Are Going About Things It May Be A Nice Result For You. :)

I will try that

You should try a Timmy pedal.
One Of The Best All Around Pedals Ever Made IMO For A Lot Of Things. Paul Cochrane Made A Great Pedal In That. The Original TIM Pedal Is Fantastic As Well With The Options It Provides. Both Are Must Have Pedals IMO.
