So I just decided what my solo artist band name is going to be and I registered that domain name for the future web site. I'll start off playing cover tunes, recording everything and make YouTube videos which will hopefully not get flagged and deleted immediately. Eventually I'll compose and release my own music. I've got a lot of work ahead of me to get this project launched, which includes recruiting at least three young and attractive female background singers who can sing one register above me. Then of course comes the guitar manufacturer endorsements. Do I need endorsements? No. I have a $60,000.00 guitar collection. I buy my own stuff and I don't need any free guitars. However, I think it would be cool to have endorsements none the less.
Yes, more than one endorsement. I don't do anything small. Here's how I envision how this will work when dealing with multiple guitar manufacturers, all of whom want to be #1. My solution to this problem is to get endorsements from manufacturers by sorting them according to their respective guitar scale lengths (mostly). Thus it would look like this...
The Guitar Endorsement for 25" inch scale length guitars goes to PRS Guitars.
The Guitar Endorsement for 24.594" inch scale length guitars goes to PRS Guitars.
The Guitar Endorsement Flying V guitars specifically goes to Gibson instead of Dean. (No Les Pauls etc. just Flying V's only.)
The Guitar Endorsement 24.75" inch scale length guitars goes to Heritage Guitars.
The Guitar Endorsement for 25.5" inch scale length guitars goes to Knaggs Guitars.
The Guitar Endorsement for acoustic guitars goes to... to be determined.... kinda favoring Martin right now.
The endorsement for non-PRS pickups goes to Bare Knuckles.
The endorsement for strings goes to D’Addario.
The endorsement for drum heads goes to Evans.
The endorsement for drums goes to DW.
The endorsement for cymbals goes to... whoever wins the cage match between Zildjian and Sabian.
The endorsement for microphones goes to... whoever wins the cage match between Shure and Rode.
In each of these cases, whenever one of these manufacturers asks me "Why can't we be your exclusive guitar provider?" I can easily point to each of the other manufacturers and say, "Well, you don't make one of these...."
Who is on your endorsement wish list?
