I've just seen the new MT-15 and it looks fuggin awesome!!! I already have the old model, however, and it doesn't seem significantly different enough to warrant replacement. BUT the new shell and the collapsible handle, I desire so so much. Do you think it would be possible or would it ever be an option to buy replacement hardshells for the amp? Or if I were to order a new one, do you think the shell would be interchangeable (I might change it over and then sell the new one with the old shell on it)
What do you guys think/ how ya'll feel about it :)

If the new one appeals to you that much, get it. There are a few new features that might be nice to have.

If all you want is the leather handle, it's a bog-standard leather handle that can be bought at Stew Mac or a zillion other places. Take off the old handle, drill some holes for the new one, and you're in business. Pretty simple stuff.

You might like the new one enough to go with it instead of the old one. Sounds easier than trying to stuff the old one in a new box. I think you should have both and run them together in stereo.
See I would but my current 15 is the first tube amp I got and I got it for my 20th birthday so I would be more than hesitant to replace it. And I tend to run it dual amped with my Archon 100w, perfect pairing 🥰

I can't though. My current MT-15 was my first ever tube amp and my 20th Birthday present 🥶
I'd keep it. Frees you up to try something that isn't so close to what you already have.

Plus, guitar players will glom onto a new amp for a short time, but after a while the original model becomes the acknowledged 'classic'.
