Me in Portugal on my old Cannondale F800

Cool Michael B and CoreyT, one of my life ambitions is to ride in the US- places like Moab slick rock and Marin County, you have some great wildernesses in the US to ride where as over here everything is either restricted or over populated.

have ether of you been to those locations, or similar?

Those would be great places to ride for sure Jon!! Not yet...but I've been to some awesome places on my bike...Loved Minnewaska state park in New Paltz New York with its white rock cliffs and views!!

Lovin the Moots Tiboy, they were real exotica over here in the UK back in the 90's along with Doug Bradburys Manitou, and Yeti.

I don't have a single pic of the bikes or the rides right now, but will start taking some shots. I've got a Specialized Epic and a Fisher Rig 29er singlespeed. The Epic doesn't get much use any more. I am so in love with the singlespeed, and once I'm back in fighting shape each season, I hang it back up and jam the Rig. It so reminds me of riding a BMX bike as a kid...and it kicks my a$$ back into good shape.

I have riden Moab. SO WORTH THE TRIP! He town is cool, and the variety of rides/terrain is awesome. If you make a trip across the pond, plan on spending a few days around the Front Range of Colorado, too. It's a five-ish hour drive from/to Moab, and there are lots of great rides out here, too.

I just got into road riding last year. Mountain biking is like a completely foreign world. They all look cool to me!

I used to be a cycling addict. I raced BMX when I was a kid. Switched to road in my early teens and did pretty well through my early 30's. Now my road bike just hangs in the garage because I'm a lard ass.

I got tired of being hassled, run off the road, swerved at, spit on, honked at, and so on by rednecks.

But I still get out on the trails where it's safer. Often pulling the munchkin. Did a moonlight ride last weekend. It was awesome.

Crappy cell-phone pic.

Hey Hans, you were riding Marshall Mesa last weekend, were you? Passed a guy going the other direction that could have been you or a brother.

This is my one and only bike. I've had it since I was a teenager. Anyone who has ever visited the Eastern Shore of Maryland knows it is flat. 6 ft above sea level is probably the highest point on the peninsula. Anyway, I've slowly been converting this over to a beach cruiser type of ride since there aren't any mountains or even hills around.
