Go for it. I prefer black plastics b/c they blend in to the pickups and let the top wood pop more - no high creme/black contrast pulling your eye away. Might be why I don't like zebras either.

Oh my goodness it’s here! This is the first used guitar I bought online only from photographs and descriptions. I have to give Josh at righteous guitar works five stars, beautiful beautiful example of a reclaimed wood Vela, not a mark on her, the shipping was package better than any guitar I’ve ever seen, the action is absolutely perfect! This sounds so much different and better than my other vela it sounds so..........”woody”,Very hard to describe but I am on to something now very special! I am so grateful and so thankful!
