Most Amazing Guitar Experience Ever

Nice! It’s a great experience, one of the best things I’ve ever done. This was a little reminder of all that by reading your posts. I remember how excited I was. As painful as the wait is, it’s worth it in the end. In a few months, the PSF thread will be equally filled with anticipation.

Oh, I made it even worse on myself in that regard:

Part of the (overly long) story was how the idea for this came to me @ the 2018 Experience. The goal the whole time has been to have my PS delivered at the 2020 Experience. All of the paperwork we passed back and forth before the trip to the factory said "12 month build time", so I didn't really mind the extra 3 month wait 'til the Experience. When we were just about done, Tina said "Ok, this should be done around August", and I was completely unprepared. I let them know that I'd been planning for next June, and she said "We can push it out, it's NBD to us", and I had a major decision to make!

In the end, I decided to stick to the plan and have them hold the build off. I'm sure it'll be driving m

First of all, thank you for your service and sacrifice!

What an awesome concept and what beautiful woods to create the work of art!!!
That's going to be an AWESOME guitar!!!!!!!!

Thanks again for all of the kind words everyone.

I have to be honest, I'm very surprised by all of the friendliness and humility around here! I guess as just a regular Joe hacker I was a bit intimidated to start posting around here!

It’s the vibe round here.

Don’t “Beat up” on the brand or ask unnecessary questions are really the only things that get people’s hackles up.

Agreed, all great people!!! We're really ALL Joe Hackers, right??? Its just a bunch of folks that love sharing guitars and ideas (string brand/gauges, PUs, adjustment ideas, replacement parts, etc...) , and everyday life with each other...with the occasional guitar story thrown in...and again...Welcome aboard.

How could we beat up on the brand, unless it's to blame them for being largely responsible for GAS?

Is there a secret recipe for knowing what the stupid questions are? Is it the one song we don't demo guitars with? "You know them when you hear them", or something similar?

It’s the thread that’s usually titled “My guitar won’t work (moan groan)”

And as far as the questions, just watch when Les Schefman gets a bit cross. It won’t be long before someone incurs his wrath!;)

It's less stupid questions and more the people who come in with an attitude or an agenda. Like, "I played a PRS five years ago and it was crap, so they're all crap", or "This is what Paul needs to do to be successful".

As my favorite radio talk show host used to say, there's no such thing as a stupid question if you don't know the answer.

My guitar makes all kinds of stupid noises,, but it's usually because I don't practice half as much as I should. I must be doing something wrong, b/c I never thought to make a thread about it.

No disrespect to that dude, but I immediately had to look up the cast list for "WKRP in Cincinatti"... :D

I dig it, thanks for the clarification. I belong to a few forums, and they all have their own quirks on what will get you running against the grain. Good to hear that it's only stupid $hit here. :D

Oh, agreed! That hard part for me again is the fact that it COULD be sooner but I'm trying to be good!

Waiting is a “double-edged” sword. You start out with the best of intentions and then end up planning something else!;)
